GastroChef — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GastroChef ("GastroChef," the "App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the GastroChef mobile application and GastroChef's associated public web pages.

GastroChef is designed to minimize the amount of personal and health-related information transmitted away from your device.

When you enter or select ingredients, GastroChef processes those ingredient selections on your device.

On supported Apple devices, GastroChef may use Apple's on-device Foundation Models technology to create recipe content.

On other supported devices, GastroChef uses its built-in local recipe catalog.

GastroChef does not send your ingredient selections or generated recipe text to a GastroChef server for recipe generation.

GastroChef does not send your ingredients or recipes to a monetization analytics service.

3. Symptom Information

GastroChef may allow you to record information such as digestive symptoms or wellness observations.

These symptom entries are stored locally on your device for App functionality.

GastroChef does not send your symptom entries to a GastroChef server or monetization analytics service.

GastroChef does not use symptom entries for advertising.

Symptom information entered into GastroChef is not used by GastroChef to create a medical diagnosis.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the features you use, GastroChef may store information locally on your device, including:

Removing GastroChef may remove locally stored App information.

Your Apple device and backup settings may affect whether locally stored App data is included in a device or cloud backup. Any backup service provided by Apple is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

GastroChef currently does not require you to create a GastroChef user account to use the App.

Because there is no GastroChef account, we do not currently maintain a GastroChef account profile containing your name, password, symptom history, recipes, or ingredient history on our servers.

If account-based features are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are used to collect account information.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

GastroChef Premium purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

Apple processes payment and Apple Account information associated with your purchase.

GastroChef does not receive your full payment-card number or payment credentials.

The App receives and processes limited StoreKit information necessary to determine whether you have access to Premium features, such as subscription-product and entitlement status.

This information is used to:

7. Analytics and Tracking

GastroChef does not currently send monetization analytics events to a third-party analytics service.

The current App contains a privacy-conscious analytics interface for possible future product analytics, but network delivery is not currently enabled.

If we introduce analytics or other third-party data collection in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and make any disclosures or obtain any permissions required by applicable law and Apple's policies before enabling that collection.

GastroChef does not use third-party advertising trackers in the current App.

8. Sharing Features

GastroChef may allow you to share content such as recipes or shopping lists using Apple's system sharing features.

Sharing is initiated by you.

When you choose an external destination — such as Messages, Mail, another application, or another service — the information you choose to share is provided to that destination.

The receiving application or service handles that information according to its own privacy practices.

GastroChef does not control how a third-party service handles information after you choose to share it.

9. Support Communications

If you contact us by email or otherwise communicate directly with us, we may receive information you voluntarily provide, such as:

We use support communications to respond to you, troubleshoot problems, improve GastroChef, protect the App, and comply with legal obligations where applicable.

Please do not send sensitive medical information by email unless it is necessary for your support request.

Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

10. GastroChef Website Pages

GastroChef's public References, Terms, and Privacy pages may be hosted as part of the Tiny Tidy Triumphs website infrastructure.

Like most websites, the hosting and network providers used to deliver these pages may process standard technical request information necessary to deliver and secure web traffic, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, and request timing.

This website-level technical processing is separate from GastroChef's in-app ingredient, recipe, and symptom information.

Visiting a GastroChef public web page does not cause the GastroChef App to upload your locally stored ingredients, recipes, or symptom entries.

11. Service Providers

GastroChef currently relies on limited third-party infrastructure necessary to provide App and website functionality.

This includes:

Apple for App distribution, StoreKit purchases, subscription management, operating-system functionality, and supported on-device technologies.

Website hosting/infrastructure providers for delivering GastroChef's public legal and reference pages.

These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy obligations.

We do not provide your locally stored GastroChef symptom entries, ingredients, or recipe history to these providers for advertising.

12. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising

GastroChef does not sell your personal information.

GastroChef does not sell your health-related information.

The current App does not use your ingredients, recipes, symptom entries, or health-related information for targeted advertising.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

Most GastroChef App information described in this Privacy Policy is stored locally on your device rather than in a GastroChef user account.

You can remove locally stored App data through available App controls where provided or by deleting the App, subject to how iOS and your backup settings manage application data.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active GastroChef Premium subscription. Subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple.

For information you voluntarily send to us through support email, you may contact us to request deletion, subject to information we must or are permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.

14. Security

We design GastroChef to limit transmission of personal and health-related App information and to keep sensitive working data on your device where practical.

No device, software system, or method of storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are also responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple Account, backups, and any external services you choose to use for sharing.

15. Children's Privacy

GastroChef is not designed to create profiles of children or to collect children's health information through a GastroChef server.

The current App does not require a GastroChef account.

If a parent or guardian believes a child has directly provided personal information to us through a support communication and would like that information removed, please contact us.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights relating to personal information, such as rights to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information we maintain about you.

Because most GastroChef information is stored locally on your own device, we may not possess or be able to retrieve that local information from our systems.

For personal information that we actually maintain — such as information you voluntarily send through a support request — you may contact us regarding applicable privacy rights.

We may need to verify a request where reasonably necessary or legally required.

17. International Use

GastroChef may be available in multiple countries or regions.

Apple, website infrastructure providers, and other service providers may process technical information in locations different from your country of residence according to their own infrastructure, terms, and applicable legal obligations.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when GastroChef's features, technologies, data practices, or legal requirements change.

If we make changes, we will publish the updated version on this page and change the effective or "last updated" date.

If a future change materially expands the way GastroChef collects or uses personal or health-related information, we will make appropriate disclosures before that new processing begins where required.
